Plaza de los Naranjos in the old town of Marbella

MarbellaDone is a cleaning company in Marbella. If you are looking for cleaners for a villa, a holiday rental or an office, the cleaning services below are available anywhere in the municipality, from Guadalmina to Cabopino.

Marbella is where it all started and where most of the work still is. From apartments on the Golden Mile to family villas in Nueva Andalucía and Elviria, we look after properties of every size, for owners who live here all year and for owners who visit a few weeks a season.

We cover the whole municipality: Puerto Banús, Nueva Andalucía, San Pedro de Alcántara, the Golden Mile, the old town, Elviria, Las Chapas and Cabopino. If your property is in Marbella, we can be there.

Tell us what the property needs and we send you a clear quote. No obligation, and the scope of the clean is agreed before anything is booked.

Marbella, area by area

A villa in Sierra Blanca and an apartment in the old town are not the same job. Villas in Nueva Andalucía, Sierra Blanca or Guadalmina have several floors, wide terraces, a pool area and guest rooms that are only used part of the year, so the work is distributed differently and the glazed surfaces take up a good share of the time. An apartment in Puerto Banús or on the Golden Mile is usually smaller but turns over fast, with guests arriving and leaving every few days.

The old town is a case of its own: older buildings, narrow staircases and flats without a lift. Further out, in Elviria, Las Chapas, Cabopino and towards San Pedro and Guadalmina, the properties are mostly family homes with gardens and year-round residents. It is worth saying which of these your property is when you ask for a quote, because it changes how the visit is planned more than the floor area does.

Salt, limescale and Saharan dust

Three things turn up in Marbella that you barely see inland. The first is salt: in properties near the sea it leaves a film on glass, railings and metal fittings that comes back within days. The second is limescale from hard water, which marks shower screens, taps and tiles and needs the right product and some patience rather than more scrubbing. The third is the calima, the Saharan dust that can cover a whole terrace overnight and undo work that was finished the day before.

In the houses closer to the beach there is also sand, which works its way into skirting boards, rugs and the tracks of sliding doors and does not come out with a quick pass. None of this is complicated, but it is the reason a coastal property needs a different kind of attention from a flat in a city centre.

The Marbella year

The year here has its own rhythm. July and August belong to holiday rentals, with changeovers that have to fit into a window of a few hours. Autumn brings the deep cleans, when the season ends and the house goes back to private use. In winter many properties stand closed, and a closed house does not get dirty so much as it gathers dust and a shut-up smell. In spring they are opened again, usually before Easter or the first visit of the year.

A large share of Marbella owners do not live here all year. That changes how the work is organised: access has to be agreed in advance, it helps to know whether the property will be empty, and it is worth being clear about what should be found on arrival. The more specific the request, the fewer questions are left to sort out from a distance.
